Lavender Oil to the Rescue
Whenever I travel I am always an “emergency kit” of essential oils with me. One of the essential oils, which I found very useful to have on hand, is lavender. The most dramatic was the time in Florida when my husband under the hood of the car and the radiator cap exploded in his face and tried slapping him on the forehead. The water bubbled and burned torso.
He was immediately sprayed with undiluted lavender oil, and then applies aloe Vera gel for me. I kept reapplying the lavender until the pain subsided and gave him some aspirin for the crash. My husband was up to his neck in the pool for about 20 minutes. Our friends who witnessed it said it was a miracle – she had never seen burns heal well. Once, when I tell this story, a lady told me that this same type of accident that had happened to her husband and spend time in hospital with third degree burns. Thank God for the lavender!
Lavender came to my rescue when my son picked me up at the airport in Vancouver; he had to hurry to get to an emergency clinic because he had just been stung by a bee. He has a history of violent allergic reactions to bee stings, each getting a little worse. His hand was swollen twice its normal size and moves rapidly swelling arm. Luckily I’m wearing was a trailer that contains lavender, and I immediately turned it on its prey, stop inflammation and fever clearance. Over the years I’ve used in the many people who have a negative reaction to insect bites, lavender. Lavender is also one of my letters of credit for the treatment of headaches.
